Polytopic LPV approaches for intelligent automotive systems: State of the art and future challenges

With more and stringent requirements on driving comfort, safety fuel economy, polytopic LPV approaches have become popular in intelligent automotive control systems due to their merits dealing with the complex nonlinearities. This survey starts a review theory of systems. Stability analysis controller design are provided techniques obtaining less conservative results. Then, some key applications vehicle dynamics provided. Several models concerning vertical dynamics, lateral integrated introduced. Different designs summarized taking various settings time-varying parameters into account. Moreover, path following powertrain concluded, including internal combustion engines, electric vehicles aftertreatment Finally, from recent advances applications, future research directions related challenges discussed.
